Deb chuckled as he ate the small chunk and cut another bite, putting it in her mouth before handing him the fork, mumbling a ‘there you go’ as she chewed it and smiling at him once she had followed.

Jardine smiled over to her before he shook his head slightly, “Here.” He reached over to the draw behind him and pulled out another knife and fork. He set them down on the table before he just the calzone in half. “We’ll share, sound good?”

She nodded, turning her head to look at him and leaning forward to peck his lips lightly before reaching to take the other knife and fork and cutting into her half of the calzone once more.

A soft smile could be seen on his face after the quick kiss. Jardine leaned over and placed a kiss on her cheek before he started eating his meal. “So, what do you want to do tonight, Debs?”

Deborah had started to eat as well when she shrugged, swallowing quickly before glancing at him, “I don’t know, do you feel like going out or staying in?” She asked, smiling in his direction as she kept eating.

She grinned up at him taking the fork and then taking a bite off the calzone and humming as she chewed, “This is delicious J, seriously” Deb mumbled with a small chuckle, taking another bite once she had swallowed.

The look on her face was priceless. Jardine smiled over to her as she continued eating, “I’m glad you like it, Debs, but save some for me.” He told her while he scooted his chair closer to her.

“I might not” She played, grinning widely and cutting another piece of the food, stabbing it with her fork and then holding it up so it was in front of his mouth once he had scooted closer, “You can have a taste”.

“Oh yeah, just a taste.” Jardine said with sarcasm  in his voice. “I’m just the guy that cooked the damn thing.” He chuckled lightly before he leaned forward slightly and ate the small chunk. “So am I going to get any more of that or should I just make myself a sandwich?”

Deb chuckled as he ate the small chunk and cut another bite, putting it in her mouth before handing him the fork, mumbling a ‘there you go’ as she chewed it and smiling at him once she had followed.

After Deborah replied to Jardine’s text she picked up the TV remote and turned it off, running her hands through her hair once and then putting her shoes on. Five minutes later she was getting into her car - after brushing her teeth and hair, picking up her bag and getting her keys. Fortunately the ride to Jardine’s was pretty quick and she was there in just under another five minutes. Deb got out of the car with her bag and walked to his front door, shivering slightly from the cold air after she knocked lightly three times and waited.

Jardine was in the middle of cooking dinner when he heard a knocking at his door. He quickly turned the flame down and set his spatula before he made his way over to the door. He pushed back his hair, hoping that it wasn’t too messy before he opened the door with a smile, “Hey Debs. You got here sooner than I thought.”

A smile took over his face as soon as he opened the door, “Hey” She said back, taking a few steps so she was inside and placing her hands on his shoulder, leaning up on her toes to press a kiss to his lips before pulling away to grin at him, “Smells nice” Deb said, walking into the house.

He chuckled lightly to her kiss as he shut the door behind him. “Yeah, it’s a ham, mozzarella cheese and ricotta cheese calzone. It’s almost done.” Jardine told her as he made his way back into the kitchen, “Are you hungry? We can split it if you want. I’m not the best chef in all of Panem, but I have some pride in my cooking.”

“Mm, that sounds nice” She commented, following him towards the kitchen, “Definitely better than my cooking” Deb chuckled lightly, nodding somewhat at his question, “Yeah, great, splitting sounds good”.

Jardine moved to turn the fire off before flipping the calzone onto a dish and then walking over to the table. “Alright,” He said as he grabbed a fork and handed it to her, “You can have the first bite. Let me know what you think.”

She grinned up at him taking the fork and then taking a bite off the calzone and humming as she chewed, “This is delicious J, seriously” Deb mumbled with a small chuckle, taking another bite once she had swallowed.
